So being the newly married couple that we are- just like all other newly married couples- we're broke! :) I say that with a smile too. A real smile, because I feel like being newly married and broke makes you learn things about each other that if you had money you would never learn. For example- how to save money on your electric bill by opening the curtains during the day to let natural heat in and lower your heat bill. Another one is have your husband turn down the water heater so you conserve water (by showering faster) and it takes less power to heat the darn thing.
Also learning to coupon.... We are self-taught couponers and save at least $10 on groceries every week!
One more thing we have really learned is to reuse other peoples old junk. We purchased these from D.I. for $1.00 a piece and had left over paint from Alan's mom that we used to paint them black. Simple cheap and we love them. Especially Alan cause now is office is a little more organized with new bulletin boards.

All in all we aren't the most savvy people in the world but we think we are doing alright. We love married life and couldn't ask for more. Heavenly Father has blessed us with so much and we only hope to pay it forward someday.
Any excuse for Alan to get the tools out is a good excuse :)
