Making Memories in March

Well last post was Happy Love Day! So we're do for another! While living here in Rexburg has not allowed for a lot of free time, we have come up with great fun things that we love to do. One being make food from scratch! Now we're not tutting our horns or anything but we are getting pretty good. So this past month we were giving tons of dried beans and what else can you do with dried beans but make chili of course!

It was so yummy! Heidi found the recipe online and we changed it to fit our needs. Alan hated being home during the day while it was cooking because it smelt so wonderful!

Totally recommend it and we will with out a doubt be making it again! We had a lot of left overs (we planned on it) so we froze it in the freezer and saved it for a rainy day. It was tons of fun

We've been trying to have a couple over for dinner once a week as well. Its been a lot of fun and we loving hosting parties and gatherings. We need to be better at taking pictures during this time! (note to Heidi- bust out the camera)

We also have been attending lots of campus functions and plays. They are super neat and a really great chance for us to have cheap fun date nights and force us both out of our normal routine! A few weeks ago we when to a play called Phedre. You can't see it by his face but Alan did pick out this date idea!

Alan's sister had a birthday this month too so we sent her a birthday package- and we hope that it brightened up her day, she was unable to come home to celebrate it because of work. We do get to make a trip in just another short month to see her though and spend sometime with her... SOOOO STOKED to get out of Rexburg and see the sun again! Get ready for a fun fill week Sherry.

The highlight of the past month was Theo H. Green (Alan's dad) hit his big 80 birthday. We made the voyage home and tried to surprise him but as with most surprises in life they are better kept secret.- We will try next time. Alan's mom held a party for Theo down at the church and it was a blast. There is another man by the name of Bill Slack that shares Theo's birthday with him so it was a joint party.

We are so blessed to have the family and friends that we have. Can't wait for the next month of memories~
