The Twelve Dates of Christmas;

on our first date of christmas.... since Heidi loves christmas lights- we went for a little stroll in our new town and found some beautiful lights that the city has put up.

on our second date of christmas.... because we are celebrating christmas in Rexburg this year we put up our on tree and decorated it just so- Alan loved being able to string the popcorn and we can't wait until his sister gets here to see it.

on our third date of christmas.... Alan made sunday dinner for Heidi and it was so amazing. Vote for Alan to make sunday dinner every week? (yes)

on our fourth date of Christmas.... we attended our ward christmas party and then found the rich neighborhood and were amazed at the lights that they had up.

on our fifth date of christmas..... since we are new in our apartment complex we wanted to meet the neighbors and bring them some cookies so we pulled out the oven mitts and went to work.
*these are the easiest holiday cookies ever and people love them, if you want the recipe leave a comment

on our sixth date of christmas..... we at this point had no snow in Rexburg- (this has since changed). We were alittle bummed about our lack of snow so we made our own.

Alan made this for Heidi-  yes its the Temple we were married in.

on our seventh date of christmas.... in our extended families we draw names each year so we wrapped the gifts! Alan is learning and is getting very fast at them (Heidi says she will hire him in years to come when there are more gifts to be wrapped then just 3)
*note there are no pictures of this due to the fact that we are wanting all of our christmas gifts to be a suprize!

*I stole this idea from another blog that I follow- the idea is that you celebrate Christmas by making time for 12 little dates during the holiday season. I can't wait for five more excuses to spend with the love of my life!
